If you're looking for a super low price hoverboard, you're in luck! Like many new forms of technology, hoverboards were not cheap when they first hit the market. But in recent years, affordable hoverboards have become more and more common.
Below, I'm going to introduce five of the best cheap hoverboards available today. These are the best deals on hoverboards that you can currently find on Amazon.
I'll start with really cheap hoverboards (under $100), followed by the best hoverboard deals under $200 (which offer a lot more for features not much more money). Basically what I've done is taken the top choices from my articles on hoverboards under 100 and hoverboards under 200, to give you the ultimate list of best hoverboards with a low price!
If you're looking for offroading capabilities, you're not going to find it on this list. However, you'll be happy to note that my list of the best hoverboards for off roading now includes a few cheap option!
The Best Value Hoverboards Today
So before we get down to all the details about each of these five most affordable hoverboards, here's a quick summary of why I chose each one:
- Swagboard Twist: Extremely cheap hoverboard with minimal features, for kids only
- LIEAGLE: Very cheap but good hoverboard for kids or adults
- SISIGAD: Excellent cheap hoverboard for kids
- Hover-1 H1: Trusted brand and highly rated for kids or adults, but a little pricier
- TOMOLOO Music Rhythmed: Super fun LED lights that sync with music, but priciest on this list and only good for kids
In my opinion, these are the cheapest safe hoverboards out there. All of them are UL2272 safety certified, which means that despite their very low price, they are been carefully tested and deemed safe for sales.
Now, let's take a closer look at these each super cheap but good hoverboard, going from chepest to least cheap at the time of writing.
As one of the few hoverboards under $100, the Swagboard Twist might just be the cheapest hoverboard ever. While there are a few others out there with the same price tag, the Swagboard Twist comes to use from one of the most trusted hoverboard brands on the market: Swagtron.
While the super low price is surely nice, you'll have to give up some features to get it; there are no Bluetooth speakers on this hoverboard. See what else it is lacking below:
Note: The XPRIT sometimes goes down in price even lower than the Swagboard, so keep an eye on that!
- Trusted brand
- Weight: 22 lbs (10 kg)
- Handles 44-150 pounds (20-77 kg)
- Color choice: black
- Maximum speed 7 MPH (11 km/hr)
- 5.5 hours charging time
- Lasts 40 to 90 minutes on full charge
- No speakers, app, or LED lights
The most obvious selling point of the ultra low price Swagboard Twist is that it is made by Swagtron, one of the most well-known hoverboard brands out there. Swagtron is mainly known for its more powerful and robust boards, but we can only expect some of this knowledge went into this lower cost hoverboard aimed at kids.
The Swagboard Twist can reach a maximum speed of 7 MPH, which is 1 MPH faster than many other children's hoverboards.
Sorry to say, but if you want to buy the cheapest hoverboard for sale, you're going to be sacrificing quite a bit. Nowadays almost every hoverboard out there comes with Bluetooth speakers and an app that you can use to control various features. Well, this one does not. The same goes with LED lights; this board doesn't have them.
If you'd like color choices, that is yet another thing you'll have to give up here. It only comes in black.
Moreover, the Swagboard Twist takes a long time to charge, while the battery life kind of sucks. Last but not least, with a low maximum weight limit, adults or even some teens won't get anywhere on this board without wrecking it or wiping out. You'd be better off getting a hoverboard for teens.
If you're in the market for a really cheap but decenet hoverboard for a beginner, then you'll be pleasantly surprised with the LIEAGLE. With a super low price tag just a few dollars above the Swagboard Twist, you'll get a little more bang for your buck, but you still won't get everything. What's more, the price of this board also bounces around and sometimes goes down to the same low price as the Swagboard!
Here's what you get with the LIEAGLE:
- More than 10 colors to choose from
- Super light weight (17 lbs. or 7.7 kg)
- Can handle 44-262 lbs. (20-120 kg)
- LED lights but no Bluetooth speakers
- Maximum speed 7.5 MPH (12 km/hr)
- 2-3 hours charging time
- Can last 1-2 hrs on a full charge
Right away, you'll notice that the LIEAGLE has LED lights (unlike the Swagboard), for pretty much the same price. On top of that, this hoverboard goes 0.5 MPH faster, has a more reasonable charging time of 2-3 hours, and is one of the lightest hoverboards out there, at only 17 pounds.
Another huge difference is that the LIEAGLE can handle weights of up to 262 pounds, which means both adults and kids can ride it. Finally, this board has several color choices avaiable, so you won't be stuck with plain old black.
The LIEAGLE is still a hoverboard at nearly the lowest price possible, so it still has some faults.
The most obvious one is the lack of Bluetooth speakers. When you look at the Amazon page for it, you may notice that one of the pictures even says Bluetooth, and the box comes with a Bluetooth symbol. But according to reviewers, this is not a cheap hoverboard with Bluetooth, it is simply a hoverboard with NO Bluetooth.
Moreover, the battery life on the LIEAGLE about as crappy as the Swagboard; this is pretty much what you should expect at this super low price point.
If you want a very cheap hoverboard for kids, say hello to the SISIGAD. And finally, the first cheap Bluetooth hoverboard on our list! Considering you only have to pay a little more to get this awesome feature, I think it's totally worth it.
Let's see what else this board is equipped with:
- Tons of colors to choose from
- Max. 6 MPH (9.7 km/hr)
- 3 to 5-mile range (30 min to 1 hour)
- Can carry 44-200 pounds (20-91 kg)
- LED lights, bluetooth speaker, and app
- 3-5 hours charging time
- Weight: 20 pounds (9 kg)
When buying a hoverboard for kids, you don't need one that is super powerful or fast. But surely, having loads of colors to choose from is important, right? Don't worry, the SISIGAD has more than 20!
Even more importantly, this is the first low price hoverboard on my list that has both LED lights and Bluetooth speakers controlled by an app. Considering you only have to pay a little more than the last two hoverboards, it's surely worth it.
This board is also light, making it suitable for young kids, but with a weight limit of 200 pounds, older/heavier riders will also be able to hop on.
The SISIGAD is still a low-budget hoverboard. Like the previous two, it won't last long at all before the battery dies and needs to be charged, and the charging time takes several hours.
What's more, this hoverboard only reaches 6 MPH at the upper end, making it the slowest hoverboard out there. For very young kids this is fine or maybe even preferrable, but anyone older might want more power and speed.
For the final two entries, we are moving out of the ultra low price range, but still sticking to low budget hoverboards under $200. The first of them is the Hover-1 H1, which is one of several low-priced but high quality hoverboards by reputable brand Hover-1.
Let's see what you get by increasing your budget just a little:
- Max. 9 MPH (14.5 km/hr)
- lasts 1.5-3 hours
- Three skill modes to choose from
- Can carry 44-264 pounds (20-120 kg)
- Adjustable LED lights
- Bluetooth speakers and app
- 2.5 hours charging time
- Weight: 22.04 pounds (10.2 kg)
If you're willing to up your budget just a little more from the last entry, you are going to get an all-around more powerful and well-built board. The Hover-1 H1 comes to us from a highly reputable brand. It can easily handle both kids and heavier adults, and reaches a more respectable maximum speed of 9 MPH.
Of course, this hoverboard comes with all the features you'd expect, like LED lights, Bluetooth speakers, and an app. On top of that, you get three skill modes to choose from, giving riders more control over the board.
The charging time is decent, and you'll be able to ride a little longer on this board than previous ones before you have to change it again.
While the Hover-1 H1 appears to be a great value hoverboard, some users say that its surface scratches easily. It's not the lightest on this list, and while the charging time and battery life are OK, they are by no means the best out there.
TOMOLOO MUSIC RHYTHMED
For our final entry, we are moving away from the super low price category and into the mid-range category. Still, the TOMOLOO is a bargain hoverboard considering what you get. In fact, this board tops my list of the best hoverboards for kids. I've also got a more detailed TOMOLOO hoverboard review here.
Let's see why I'm a big fan of this children's hoverboard:
- LED lights that sync to the music being played
- Max. 7 MPH (11.3 km/hr)
- 2-3 hours on one charge
- Can carry 44-220 pounds (20-100 kg)
- Bluetooth speaker and app
- 2-3 hours charging time
- Weight: 17.6 lbs (8 kg)
The TOMOLOO Music Rhythmed hoverboard is super fun, and you can see why in the name. Not only does it play music through built-in Bluetooth speakers, but the board's flashing lights sync up with the music!
As a children's hoverboard, the other specs are all what you would hope for: super light weight, decent but not too fast speed of 7 MPH, decent charging time, and a better battery life than most of the other hoverboards on this list.
To get these additional features, you're going to have to spend more. The TOMOLOO is one of the most expensive children's hoverboards (adult ones can get quite a bit more expensive though, so this is still considered a low-cost hoverboard).
Also, while the weight limit does go up to 200 pounds, the board is really not designed for adults and won't perform well if you get even close to this upper weight limit.
Last, there are only a few color choices, including plain black, and pink for girls.
What is the cheapest hoverboard price?
Of all the cheapest hoverboards for sale, the lowest I've seen them go is literally one penny or a few dollars under $100, that is, around $95 to $99.99.
In this article, the first entry (the Swagboard Twist) was that price at the time of writing, but please note that hoverboard prices are always changing.
As I write this, there are a few other hoverboards out there at this same ultra low price, such as the XPRIT and Beston Sports Newest. Be careful what you are getting, though. For example, the latter board doesn't even have independently moving foot pads.

Are Very Cheap Hoverboards Safe?
You don't want to buy an unsafe hoverboard just to save a few bucks, right? Luckily, all hoverboards for sale in the USA nowadays, including all those on Amazon, legally must be UL 2272 safety certified. Gone are the days of exploding hoverboards! You can learn more about this messy past in my guide to hoverboard safety.
If you're going for a super cheap hoverboard, it only makes sense that the quality isn't going to be great. Still, they will be safe enough to ride. What's NOT safe is doing things like exceeding the maximum weight capacity, riding them until the battery totally runs out, or overcharging them.
The Final Verdict
If you're looking for the rock bottom cheapest hoverboard, the Swagboard Twist or LIEAGLE might just be it. But for kids, they'll have more fun on the SISIGAD, which is only a few dollars more. The Hover-1 and TOMOLOO are even better, but they are getting closer to the mid-range prices.
